Where Karo is better

  • The other person needs no app. The task reaches them on WhatsApp, or by SMS if that fails, with a link to complete or cancel it. NeoKaam does not send tasks to other people on WhatsApp, and each person needs an account.[1][2][4]
  • It chases them for you. Karo reminds them when the task is due, then 2 and 4 days later, and you can ping them by hand.[3][4]
  • It feels like a chat. Each contact or group is a chat thread. Groups are “like group chats, but with checkboxes”.[1]
  • More on Apple devices. Two-way Apple Reminders sync and widgets, and apps for Mac and Apple Vision.[1]
  • More app languages. The iPhone app is in English and 15 more languages, Hindi included, and it can translate a task into your language.[1]

Where NeoKaam is better

  • Say it, do not type it. One sentence becomes tasks for the person you name, with the date you say, in Hindi, English or both.
  • Meetings become action items. Record up to 90 minutes, on the phone or in the browser, and confirm the tasks it finds.
  • On the web too. A web app in the browser, as well as the phone apps.

  3. Say the work

Say what needs doing. Each task goes to the person you name, with the date you say.

Questions about switching

  • Does the other person need NeoKaam?

Yes. Each person needs a free NeoKaam account, in the phone app or on the web. You invite them by email or link. With Karo, the other person does not need the app: the task reaches them on WhatsApp or SMS.

  • Does NeoKaam send tasks on WhatsApp?

Not to other people. NeoKaam does not send a task or its reminders to anyone on WhatsApp. On paid plans, in early access, you can send or forward a message to the NeoKaam WhatsApp bot, and the AI turns it into tasks with a person and a date. Places are limited. From a task, you can also invite a person: it opens your own WhatsApp with a link to join, and the task is theirs once they do.

  • Can I bring my Karo tasks into NeoKaam?

NeoKaam has no direct Karo import. If your tasks are in an .xlsx or .csv file, NeoKaam’s AI reads up to 300 rows at a time on the web, and you check each task before you confirm.

  • Can I speak in Hindi?

Yes. Say it in Hindi, English or both in one sentence. A Hindi sentence gives a Hindi task. The phone apps are in English and Hindi; the web app is mostly English.
