Delete your NeoKaam account

Last updated: July 26, 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of your NeoKaam account and the data associated with it, what we delete, and what we keep. NeoKaam is published by Sumit Sourabh and is also distributed under the name Tickbox; the same account and the same deletion process cover both.

Delete your account from the app

The fastest way is from inside the app. Your account is deleted, not just signed out.

  1. Open the NeoKaam app and go to More → Settings.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. Type your email address to confirm that it's really you.
  4. Tap Delete account again in the confirmation prompt.

You'll be signed out on every device immediately. On the web, the same option lives on your Profile page.

Delete your account by email

If you can't sign in, email us at [email protected] from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and complete it within 30 days.

Delete some of your data without deleting your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app you can delete individual tasks, projects, comments, attachments, labels and messages at any time, and you can clear your profile photo from your Profile page. For anything you can't remove yourself, email [email protected] and tell us what you'd like removed.

What gets deleted

When the deletion completes, we permanently erase the following from our systems:

  • Your account details — name, username, email address and profile photo.
  • Projects you own, and every section, task, subtask and invitation inside them.
  • Tasks and recurring tasks you created in projects owned by other people.
  • Your comments, labels, saved filters, attachments and file uploads.
  • Your direct messages, notifications and activity history.
  • Your sign-in credentials, linked Google/Apple accounts, sign-in history, push notification tokens and any linked WhatsApp number.

What is kept, and for how long

  • A 30-day grace period. Deletion is immediate from your side — you are signed out everywhere and can no longer sign in. Your data is then held for 30 days before it is permanently erased, so that an accidental or fraudulent deletion can be reversed and so shared projects aren't pulled out from under your teammates without warning. To cancel within those 30 days, email [email protected]. After 30 days the erasure is irreversible.
  • Content in projects you don't own. Tasks that someone else created and assigned to you stay with that project's owner, because the data belongs to their workspace rather than to your account.
  • Encrypted database backups. Our rolling backups may still contain your data for a short period after the purge. They are overwritten on a rolling schedule and are never used to restore a deleted account.
  • Payment records held by the store. If you subscribed, Google Play, the App Store or our payment processor keeps its own transaction record for as long as tax and accounting law requires. That record sits with them, not with us — contact the store you paid through to ask about it.
